A Bit About Me

Kimia Karbin

Based in

Turin, Italy

Specializing

iOS Development

I'm Kimia, a Junior iOS Developer and graduate of the Apple Developer Academy @Unina Federico II. In 2026 I was selected by Apple as one of just 50 Swift Student Challenge Distinguished Winners worldwide, and invited to spend three days at Apple Park during WWDC. My work is driven by a simple belief: technology should empower everyone.

My path into iOS didn't start there. I began in Computer Software Engineering and worked as a frontend developer building web interfaces with React, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS — a foundation that shapes how I build today.

Today I build accessible iOS applicationswith Swift and SwiftUI that bridge the gap between complex technology and human needs. From apps that let people explore the world through touch, sound, and speech to educational tools that teach children through interactive experiences, I care about making iOS apps more inclusive and impactful. Based in the Turin area, Italy — and open to new opportunities: remote, hybrid, or in-person in Turin or across Italy.

What Drives Me

User-Centered

Putting users first in every iOS design decision, ensuring meaningful and impactful mobile experiences.

Innovation

Exploring cutting-edge iOS technologies like ARKit, CoreML, and Vision to solve real-world problems.
